The flock and woolery at Blue Rock Ranch

Blue Rock Ranch

Julie with one of the sheep at Blue Rock Ranch

A long-held dream, rooted in the land.

Julie spent her earliest years on a working farm and it made a lasting impression. After 35 years as an educator, Julie's dream was realized: to learn and explore all the ways her family could connect to the land, and growing food.

That dream included the addition of the perfect farm animal, the sheep. The journey has included raising, breeding, processing, spinning, and felting their wool.

The Woolery is the small shop inside the barn at Blue Rock Ranch where these products are available to purchase, and where various workshops are offered.

The sheep.

At the heart of the ranch are the animals themselves. Each with a different character and type of fleece.
